Initial strategy
Use All Five was initially approached by Saatchi & Saatchi to help develop a pitch for the Healthy Weight Committment Foundation. As part of their initiative, the foundation sought, through the use of social media, to develop a tool to combat childhold obesity.
The pitch development turned into a full strategy session, covering everything from brand voice to example execution. After several rounds of collabration, the working TogetherCounts name, brand and web strategy were born.
Design
Viewing young families as the prime demographic, Use All Five and Saatchi & Saatchi developed a visual language that evoked a child-like sensability. Bold colors and shapes helped appeal to both parents and children and reinforce the balance of meals and physical activity. With this in mind, we designed Together Counts with a simple goal: to get parents pledging to have family meals and participate in play/physical activity with their children.
Jerseys / Patches / Game mechanics
Our design goal was to make the site fun and engaging and to drive people back using incentive-based game mechanics.
We designed a series of digital awards to motivate family members to keep pledging. They gain points for completing pledges, and as their points increase, they earn Jerseys and Patches.
Mobile Experience
In order to reach out to families who use smartphones to connect, we created iPhone and Android applications that work parallel to TogetherCounts.com. The mobile apps can function independently or in conjunction with the website.
