Digital Death launched on World AIDS Day, 2010. Top celebrities on Twitter were pronounced digitally dead until one million dollars was donated for Keep A Child Alive. Keep A Child Alive provides antiretroviral therapy as well as care to orphaned and abandoned children. The campaign helped to save millions of real lives affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India. The site went on to surpass its goal of a million dollars.
UA5 was selected by TBWA to rapidly develop the frontend of the website. Some of the highlights include a celebrity image rotator, animated infographics, and also a way to allow users to sacrifice themselves.
